Dann looked at the coat. Was it really necessary? He held the trench coat up and examined it. It did look really badass, and as I RPG engineer he was a big fan of dramatic clothing.

Yuri walked in to the room and sighed.

"Are you really bringing that?" she asked, walking to the dresser where she had left her suitcase.

"Ah… I don't know." Dann sighed. He put the coat on the bed and moved back to the dresser next to Yuri. He piled some clothing into his bag and then moved to grab the X-box.

"No." Yuri said, catching Dann's movement in the corner of her eyes.

"Awww…. But why nooot?" Dann whined. "It's for work!" Yuri shook her head.

"Stop acting like a child. We're not going to play video games."

Dann pouted and zipped up his suitcase. He muttered something and went to put this suitcase with the rest of them. He heard Yuri enter the bathroom after yelling for him to take the bag to the front door. Dann quietly walked over to the TV in the bedroom and grabbed his X-box and stuffed it into a backpack with his computer and camera. He carried Yuri's suitcase and his backpack to the front door and set them down.

He walked over to the reclining chair and sat down. He leaned back and sighed. There were ten bags in all, and he only took up two and a half. why do women always pack so much more than necessary? he questioned himself. He had asked Yuri and she had began explaining why she needed two bags full of makeup, and shoes and etc. and truth be told, Dann didn't much care to hear the rest.

It had been about a month since he had offered to take Yuri to Japan, and since then he had gotten them plane tickets, a place to stay, everything, and they were supposed to leave in four hours. They would be staying with Yuri's parents in Chiba for two months, while they explored and got re-acquainted with Japan.

"Yuri!" He yelled, "Hurry up, we've got to go, it's a two hour drive and Max should be here soon!" he heard a muffled response, and as if on cue, max opened the door to the apartment.

"entering… aright- damn. that's one hell of a pile… how many bags are yours?" Max said curiously.

"I've got two." Dann said. He then pointed to the bathroom and said that the rest were Yuri's. Max chuckled and offered to help bring them to the truck. Dann yelled one last time to Yuri before bringing the first batch of bags down with Max. they were on the third floor, and with no elevator the walk was somewhat hard.

The Truck Dann owned was a fairly old model. His dad had owned it before he upgraded last year, and Dann had fallen in love with the old thing, so he offered to buy it for five thousand, which was readily accepted. They packed the suitcases into the pick-up and then once again, ascended the stairs.

Opening the door to the apartment again, Yuri was lifting one of the suitcases. There were four suitcases left, and then Dann's Backpack. Dann slung the backpack over his shoulder, and picked up two of the suitcases. Max grabbed the remaining two.

"Yuri, you ready?" Dann asked when they were all in the hall. Yuri nodded and Dann gently put the suitcase in his right hand on the ground. He fished around in his pocket for the key, and quickly locked the door. Then, they were finally ready to leave.

They descended the stairwell to the parking lot, and packed the remaining bags into the truck.

Max jumped into the drivers seat and Dann and Yuri got in back, since the passenger seat was filled with a suitcase. Dann was sitting on the drivers seat with Yuri in the middle.

Max yawned, "You guys know how to pick a great departure time! Yeah, I always get up at three in the freakin' morning!" He joked, glancing smugly at Dann.

"Yeah yeah, just start the damn truck," Dann shot back. Him and Max did this a lot, one would say something, one would retaliate, and a playful fight would come next. But this morning, since everyone was tired, Max decided to skip the fight and start the truck.

It didn't start and first, and after a few muttered curses, Max got it started. He Backed out of the parking lot and pulled onto the nearby highway. It was silent at first, and Yuri was now leaning on Dann's shoulder.

"Well," Max said, breaking the silence, "I managed to get some time off, and I'll be coming next month."

"That's great!" Yuri said happily, but drowsily all the same. Since Max had been Yuri's home stay brother when she came to America the first time when she was thirteen they had become great friends. Dann and Yuri had met in the eighth grade when she came, almost eight years ago… they had kept in touch and Dann finally convinced her to come stay with him for a few days, and they had ended up getting engaged and buying the apartment together.

"It's been three years…" Dann muttered, his mind wandering. Yuri was asleep leaning against him, so she didn't hear him, and Max was busy watching the road and sipping his soda.

Looking at Yuri, and deciding to follow her example, Dann dozed off. Before he went blank, Dann saw Max begin messing with the radio. Next thing he knew, max pulled into the airport.

"Woohoo! JFK for the win!" Max yelled, jolting both Dann and Yuri awake.

"and here we are…" Dann muttered.
